Stopping Damage to
Horn/Strobe Units
With three basic types including more than 25 models for almost any kind of
application, there is no other source of protective covers available anywhere to
match this one from STI for the signal units of a fire alarm system. These virtually
indestructible enclosures (slotted for horn/strobe units and solid for strobe units
only) are molded of clear, thick, UV-stabilized polycarbonate material and are
backed by a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use.
Models available for flush, surface mount or retrofit applications. Available for
Stopper Dome models is an appliance mounting plate that eliminates the need for
an electrical outlet box.

Now there can be ADA compliance for visual fire protection systems where
freezing temperatures or other harsh conditions exceed the operating limits of
strobe signal devices. A thermostatically controlled heater and a continuous duty
fan maintain a uniform environment. Also prevents snow or frost build-up.
Applications include meat packing plants, walk-in freezers, ocean rigs, slaughter
houses, etc. UL/cUL ambient rated to -70° F (-57° C). Call for light and sound loss
information.

Five spacers are available to accommodate each of the basic
models of this type. They include:
A Solid enclosed deep backbox (NEMA 4X Rated when used
with STI-1221 cover and gaskets)
B Solid enclosed backbox and double-gang outlet box
C Open backbox
D Open backbox for exposed conduit, surface mount
applications
E Standard open back frame for flush mount applications
For extreme conditions where dampness, water or dust are
frequently present, we recommend using STI's unique Enviro kit.
SPEAKER/STROBE DAMAGE STOPPER ®

These guards are designed to protect System Sensor
speaker/strobe units (SP2R1224MC and SP2W1224MC) against
vandalism and accidental damage. They consist of 9-gauge steel
wire coated with corrosion resistant white polyester. Installation is
fast and simple with the screws and anchors provided.
